As the CAPiTA base station and manufacturing home, The Mothership – distinguished as a flagship of responsible manufacturing – was awarded the Energy Globe Award for Austria.
Known as Nature’s Nobel Prize, with 178 participating countries, the Energy Globe is today’s most prestigious environmental award. It is presented annually to projects focusing on reneweable energies and the conservation of resources.
The CAPiTA Mothership is the world's most advanced snowboard manufacturing facility, all of the power necessary for production is produced in house via a hydro-activated NH3 Thermal Energy System, in concert with our newly installed solar panel array. We continually invest in our energy systems because we understand that we have a duty to refine and improve our manufacturing processes in order to help preserve the winters we love so much. We are unabashedly proud that every energy consuming function of The Mothership, from the board presses to the light switch knobs are powered by 100% clean energy.
